THE REEL 'EM IN FOR ROTARY CHARITY BASS TOURNAMENT is Saturday on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Mack. Safe light to 3 p.m. The ninth annual event sponsored by the Lake Wales Breakfast Rotary club benefits youth in the local community. Entry fee $95 per boat day of event, or $80 to pre-register. There is a $5 ramp fee. First place guaranteed $1,500, with $750 for second, $500 for third and $250 for fourth. The big-fish pot will be a 75-25 percent allotment. There will be a drawing for $100 for those who pre-register. The grand raffle prize is a stainless steel grill from the Lake Wales Home Depot. THE SUNDAY OPEN SERIES TOURNAMENT trail will hold its mini-classic Sunday on a lake to be drawn Sunday at 4:30 a.m. in the Auburndale Walmart parking lot. The series will hold open tournaments until January, with the first Nov. 25 on the north Winter Haven chain. Call Willard Combee at 863-670-7647.

THE TAMPA PRO BASS trail will compete Dec. 2 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Lester. Upcoming tournaments: Jan. 6, East Lake Toho out of East Lake Fish Camp; Feb. 3, Lake Istokpoga out of U.S. 98 ramp; March 3, Harris Chain out of Hickory Point; April 7, Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Lester; May 5, West Lake Toho only out of Southport Park; June 1-2, classic on Lake Istokpoga out of U.S. 98 ramp. Entry fee $70 per boat, including big bass. Membership ($25 per angler) required. Safe light to 2:15 p.m. No trolling or dragging is allowed. THE BOBBY LANE CUP is Dec. 15 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Mack for all high school anglers. Fund-raiser for Bartow High School Yellow Jackets Fishing Team with Elite Series pro Bobby Lane the tournament host. Format is two-angler teams with a boat captain. Anglers must be in the Student Angler Federation. SAF membership is $25 per student (call 580-765-9031 for membership). Entry fee $10 per boat. Hours 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration meeting Dec. 14 at D.B. Bait & Tackle in Bartow from 6-8 p.m. with free hot dogs and drinks. THE FLORIDA CRAPPIE CLUB SOUTH AND WESTERN DIVISIONS will start the 2013 season Jan. 26 on Lake Tarpon out of Anderson Park. The North Division opens on the Harris Chain out of Buzzard Beach Jan. 12. Entry fee $50 plus $10 for biggest speck. Individuals or partners. Seven-fish limit. 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. No membership fee. Upcoming tournaments for the South and Western divisions: Feb. 23, Lake Manatee out of state park; March 23, Lake Istokpoga out of public ramp on 621; April 27, Lake Okeechobee out of Okeetantie; May 25, Lake Kissimmee out of Camp Mack; June 22, Crooked Lake out of Bob's Landing; July 27, Lake Walk-in-the-Water out of county ramp; Sept. 28, Lake Arbuckle; Oct. 26, Lake Manatee; Nov. 23, Lake Tarpon; Dec. 14, classic, Crescent Lake. No North Division tournaments on Polk lakes. Note that North Division tournaments on Lake Monroe and the St. Johns River have been switched.
